Between January 1990 to December 1992 a couple of thousand man hours was invested in the design, material selection, manufacturing techniques and testing of the Caravan Safe.
February 1993 after 3 years of research and development the Australia designed and manufactured Caravan Safe (original name Hide Away Safe) became available for sale.

1: docking station
Install the docking station to almost any flat surface at any angle, even upside down, using screws, bolts or ACRYLIC (water based) glue into which the Caravan Safe slides in and locks with the supplied high security Abloy PROTEC key.

After the docking station is installed eg. to the floor or under a shelf slide the Caravan Safe in then lock the lid. This hides all the fastenings used to install the docking station.

2: Caravan Safe
The Caravan Safe lid locks in or out of the docking station with the included high security Abloy PROTEC key without the contents being exposed while moving.
How, remove the Caravan Safe from one docking station, lock the lid then take it to another previously installed docking station, slide it part way in, un-lock the lid, push it all the way in then lock the safe in its docking station.

3: customised heavy duty cam
Fitted to the back of the Abloy PROTEC lock inside the Caravan Safe is the customised heavy duty cam used to secure the Caravan Safe through a specifically designed slot in the docking station.
How, slide the Caravan Safe into the docking station, insert the key into the Abloy PROTEC lock, turn the key 180 degrees this also turns the cam into the slot in the docking station locking the Caravan Safe to the docking station.
